GM Recalls Chevy Cruze, Vans, Trucks

Law360, New York (May 4, 2011, 9:55 PM EDT) -- General Motors Co. on Wednesday recalled 154,112 of its 2011 Chevrolet Cruze vehicles to ensure that the steering shaft and automatic transmission shift linkage were properly installed, and also recalled thousands of four other Chevrolet models.

The recall covers Cruzes built in Lordstown, Ohio, and sold in the U.S. and Canada that require steering shaft inspections. More than 120,000 of those vehicles will be additionally inspected for transmission shift linkage. The inspection will cover unsold Cruze models on dealer lots, GM said.
