Electronic Check Patent Suit Scheduled For April 2006 Trial

Law360, New York (October 25, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Canadian payment processor LML Patent Corp.’s patent infringement lawsuit against four rivals over systems that convert paper checks into electronic transactions has been scheduled for an April 2006 trial, the company said.

In the suit, scheduled for trial in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, LML alleges that TeleCheck Services, Inc., Electronic Clearing House, Inc., Xpresschex, Inc. and Nova Information Systems, Inc. infringe U.S. Patent Nos. 5,484,988; 6,164,528 and 6,283,366.
