Baker Hostetler, 2 Attys Accused Of Inheritance Scam

Law360, New York (May 5, 2011, 7:11 PM EDT) -- Two businesses and nine individuals sued Baker Hostetler and two attorneys in an Ohio state court on Tuesday alleging they issued promissory notes to help a woman pull off an inheritance scam that bilked investors of $1 million.

The plaintiffs claim that Baker Hostetler, firm counsel William Culbertson and former firm partner Paul Feinberg worked with co-defendant Willia Burton to swindle the "unsuspecting, innocent" investor plaintiffs by telling them they could have a piece of Burton's purported $14.5 million inheritance.
