Sara Lee Targeted In Wage Suit

Law360, New York (May 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Current and former employees of Sara Lee Corp.’s meat processing facilities have hit the company with a purported class action to recover alleged unpaid hourly and overtime wages.

The action, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee on Monday, claimed that the baking giant failed to pay workers at its facility in Newbern, Tenn. and its recently closed facility in West Point, Miss. the minimum hourly rate for their duties, as well as overtime wages.
