Lexam’s Plan Faces Court Challenge

Law360 (May 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A local conservation group filed a lawsuit Tuesday in an attempt to halt Lexam Explorations Inc.’s plan for two oil and gas wells in a Colorado national wildlife refuge.

In a complaint brought before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the San Luis Valley Ecosystem Council accused the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service of unlawfully approving surveying activities, seismic operations, access roads and other activities on the 92,500-acre Baca National Wildlife Refuge.
