1M Maclaren Strollers Recalled Over Amputations

Law360, New York (May 12, 2011, 9:54 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Thursday issued a recall of an additional one million Maclaren USA Inc. strollers after more children had their fingertips cut off by a hinge mechanism.

The recall was triggered after Maclaren received 37 reports of injuries, including five amputations, related to the stroller's hinge mechanism after a previous November 2009 recall of a million strollers from the market.
