Rambus Ruling Leaves Doc Preservation Uncertainty

Law360, New York (May 16, 2011, 8:01 PM EDT) -- Although the Federal Circuit's recent spoliation rulings in two cases involving Rambus Inc. fail to establish a bright-line rule for when the duty to preserve documents for litigation is triggered, the rulings reinforce the need for companies to have a suitable document retention policy, experts say.
