EPA Pushes Back Date For Boiler Emissions Standards

Law360, New York (May 16, 2011, 7:42 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Monday it was pushing back the effective date for emissions standards covering commercial and industrial boilers and solid waste incinerators in the face of industry pressure for a stay.

In response to federal court orders, the agency in February issued the final standards for regulating air pollutants from those sources, as well as a reconsideration notice opening certain elements of the standards for additional public feedback.
