Hogan Lovells Sacks Bankruptcy Pro Over $2M Expenses

Law360, New York (May 17, 2011, 4:04 PM EDT) -- Hogan Lovells announced Tuesday that it had axed a senior partner and insolvency maven in London who pilfered more than £1.3 million ($1.8 million) from the firm in bogus business expenses.

After carrying out an investigation into Christopher Grierson’s extravagant expenses, Hogan Lovells determined the decorated litigator submitted roughly £1.3 million in false bills over a four-year stretch.

The firm said in a press release that Grierson’s actions did not affect clients and that the attorney had agreed to repay the funds within two weeks....
