Senate Confirms Yale's Deputy GC To 2nd Circ.

Law360, New York (May 17, 2011, 8:37 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate on Tuesday confirmed Yale University's deputy general counsel, Susan L. Carney, as a judge on the Second Circuit after her nomination stalled at the end of the last Congress.

Carney, the second-highest legal officer at Yale, received bipartisan support in a 71-28 vote to land a spot on the New York-based appellate court, after clearing the Senate Judiciary Committee twice with Republican backing.
