Lord Browne Leaves Goldman Sachs Amid Scandal

Law360, New York (May 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Less than two weeks after resigning from his chief executive post at British Petroleum, Lord Browne has stepped down from Goldman Sachs’ board amid mounting consequences from lying to the British High Court about an alleged gay love affair.

On Thursday, Lord Browne left his position at Goldman Sachs, where he has served as a director since 1999, when the firm became a public company.
