XL Can't Move Fla. Work Injury Coverage Suit To Canada

Law360, New York (May 17, 2011, 7:35 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal judge on Tuesday denied efforts by XL Insurance Co. Ltd. to toss CAE USA Inc.'s coverage lawsuit over a work safety injury claim so the dispute can instead be litigated in Canada.

CAE USA and XL are fighting in multiple venues over the insurer's coverage obligations, or lack thereof, when it comes to the suit of Aramis Diaz, who was injured in March 2005 after falling backward into an empty elevator shaft from the second floor of a job site in Tampa, Fla....
