SEC Enforcement Chief Exalts Partnership Programs

Law360, New York (May 19, 2011, 2:58 PM EDT) -- The rebooted U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s proactive approach to enforcement will continue to evolve, promising increased use of amnesty programs and whistleblowers to catch misconduct early on, Robert Khuzami, the agency’s director of enforcement, said Thursday.

Speaking at a conference at the University of Rochester’s Simon Graduate School of Business in New York, Khuzami outlined the recent overhaul of the SEC’s Enforcement Division, its newfound potency and the emerging priorities of a “nimble, smart and efficient agency.”
