SEC Taps Vanderbilt Finance Whiz For Top RiskFin Job

Law360, New York (May 20, 2011, 3:14 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday picked Vanderbilt University finance professor Craig M. Lewis, who researches equity analyst behavior and corporate financial policy, as its top economist and director of its Division of Risk, Strategy and Financial Innovation.

That division, known as RiskFin, was created by the SEC in September 2009 as a think tank specializing in economics, risk analysis, finance, law, mathematics and statistics for the agency.
