Cannon, Sensus Settle Electrical Meter Warranty Suit

Law360, New York (May 24, 2011, 6:40 PM EDT) -- Cannon Technologies Inc. on Friday settled its breach of implied warranty suit in Minnesota against Sensus Metering Systems Inc. over allegedly defective electrical meters, with third-party defendant Vishay Intertechnology Inc. also joining in the pact.

U.S. District Judge Richard H. Kyle's dismissal order follows a May 11 verdict in a summary jury trial that found Sensus breached an implied warranty of merchantability to Cannon and set fair compensation for the plaintiff at more than $1.9 million.
