J&J Buys Russian Cold Drug Brands For $260M

Law360, New York (May 23, 2011, 3:08 PM EDT) -- Johnson & Johnson kept up its vigorous buying spree Monday, announcing that its Swiss-based Cilag GmbH International unit is buying several leading cough and cold medicine brands in Russia from Mumbai-based J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. for $260 million.

Johnson & Johnson LLC and its affiliates will market Rinza and Doktor Mom, two of Russia's leading over-the-counter brands, as well as several others, the New Jersey-based pharmaceutical giant said Monday.
