Judge Won't Scrap DC Cop's Whistleblower Suit

Law360, New York (May 23, 2011, 9:03 PM EDT) -- A federal judge ruled Monday that a Washington police officer's remarks to the press criticizing his employer was not protected by a local whistleblower statute, but fell under the First Amendment if he spoke as a union representative.
