House Panel Approves 2 Bills Targeting EPA Rules

Law360, New York (May 25, 2011, 7:31 PM EDT) -- A U.S. House of Representatives panel approved two pieces of legislation Tuesday, one of which would open the Outer Continental Shelf to oil and gas exploration, while the other would create a committee to analyze regulations that affect domestic energy and manufacturing.

In a voice vote, the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s subcommittee on energy and power gave the green light to the Jobs and Energy Permitting Act and the Transparency in Regulatory Analysis of Impacts on the Nation Act.
