Feds Target Avon In Foreign Bribery Probe

Law360, New York (May 25, 2011, 6:53 PM EDT) -- Federal prosecutors in New York are reportedly investigating alleged bribery of foreign officials by former Avon Products Inc. employees.

Citing anonymous sources, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that the Complex Frauds Unit in the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Department of Justice's Fraud Section have interviewed former Avon employees about the allegations, which are also the subject of an internal investigation that the company has publicly disclosed.
