Lawmakers Mull Two New Clean Energy Bills

Law360, New York (May 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two new measures aimed at funding and improving clean energy technologies have been introduced into the U.S. Senate as part of a comprehensive package of bills aimed at achieving greater energy independence and saving consumers money on energy costs.

Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) on Friday introduced S. 1370, or the Clean Energy Investment Assurance Act, which would amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to ensure more investment and innovation in clean energy technologies.
