Ohio House Approves Bill To Allow Drilling In Parks

Law360, New York (May 26, 2011, 7:29 PM EDT) -- The Ohio House of Representatives passed a bill Wednesday that would open state parks to oil and gas drilling for the first time.

The Republican-controlled Ohio House voted 54-41 to pass H.B.133, which would create a five-member Oil and Gas Leasing Commission that would hold authority to approve oil and gas leases on state lands, except on the state's nature preserves.
