Senate Committee OKs 5 Energy Policy Bills

Law360, New York (May 26, 2011, 8:06 PM EDT) -- The Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources sent a handful of energy policy bills to the full U.S. Senate on Thursday, but declined to start work on an offshore drilling measure proposed by the committee chair.

In a markup hearing, the committee reported legislation related to renewable energy development, carbon dioxide reduction and the security of the bulk power supply, sending five separate bills to the chamber for consideration.
