Jobless Calif. Law Grad Sues School For $100M

Law360, New York (May 27, 2011, 7:04 PM EDT) -- Taking a common gripe to the courtroom, a law school graduate with more than $150,000 in debt and no job filed a $100 million putative class action against her school Thursday in California, saying the school lied about its alumni success.

Anna Alaburda, a 2008 honors graduate of San Diego's Thomas Jefferson School of Law who has been unable to find a job in the legal industry, argues that the school deliberately tricks prospects into attending by reporting false alumni salary and employment rates.
