AstraZeneca Sued Over Breast Cancer Drug

Law360, New York (May 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A married couple has slapped AstraZeneca with a lawsuit, accusing the pharmaceutical giant of illegally producing and promoting a treatment for the early stages of breast cancer that allegedly causes severe injuries, including bone deterioration.

On Monday, Manya and Donald Blechman filed suit against AstraZeneca in the U.S. District Court for the District of Southern Florida over Arimidex, the company’s early breast cancer drug.
