Coalbed Gas Co. Seeks Release From Patent Claim

Law360, New York (May 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A coalbed natural gas company filed a lawsuit Tuesday seeking a judgment it does not infringe a patent for coalbed evaluation methods granted to Yates Petroleum Corp. on the same day.

Wyoming-based WellDog Inc. filed its claim in the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming, seeking judgment that the patent is invalid, unenforceable and not infringed by the sale of WellDog services.
