Pallante Named Director Of Copyright Office

Law360, New York (June 2, 2011, 5:15 PM EDT) -- Maria A. Pallante has been tapped to head the U.S. Copyright Office, after holding the post on an interim basis for the past five months, the Librarian of Congress announced Wednesday.

Pallante, who has extensive experience in copyright policy and litigation in both the government and private sectors, became the register and director of the U.S. Copyright Office effective Wednesday.
