Patent Reform Bill Clears First Hurdle

Law360 (May 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A House subcommittee has approved a bill aimed at making drastic changes in patent law, setting up congressional debate over whether the changes will improve or impede innovation in the U.S.

The House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet and Intellectual Property approved the Patent Reform Act of 2007 at a markup hearing on Wednesday.
