Hoover Oil Field Settles Suit Over Gas Line Rupture

Law360, New York (June 6, 2011, 7:14 PM EDT) -- Hoover Oil Field Supply Co. Inc. and its insurer have settled a lawsuit claiming Hoover violated a contract by installing a natural gas line that ruptured the day its construction wrapped up, according to a Louisiana federal court order filed Monday.

The plaintiffs — including Gulf Production Co. Inc., B&L Exploration LLC and Biloxi Marsh Lands Corp. — filed suit to recover damages stemming from a failed line that was to transport natural gas from wells in St. Bernard Parish over land owned by Biloxi. Hoover...
