Comco Probes Swatch Over Watch Part Supply Cutbacks

Law360, New York (June 9, 2011, 8:49 PM EDT) -- Swatch Group AG said Wednesday it is being investigated for antitrust violations by Swiss regulators to determine whether the watchmaker's plans to reduce its deliveries of moving watch parts to competitors violates antitrust laws.

The company will be allowed to scale back its deliveries to third-party watchmakers while the investigation proceeds, according to a statement from the Competition Commission, or Comco, the country's antitrust agency.
