Judge Rules Hardship No Excuse For Ignoring Cleanup

Law360, New York (June 13, 2011, 7:44 PM EDT) -- A Utah federal court on Thursday issued a second preliminary injunction against Parish Chemical Co., forbidding the financially struggling company from engaging in new business until it disposes of hazardous waste containers at its chemical plant.

A preliminary injunction issued on Feb. 7 called for Parish to move hazardous wastes off of its property and to determine whether a host of unlabeled containers on its site contained toxic materials.
