FedEx Draws Fire For Sanctions Motion

Law360, New York (May 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in a race discrimination case against Federal Express Corp. have asked a federal court to strike down the shipping company’s request for sanctions over their petitions for attorneys' fees, saying that the court should sanction FedEx.

Fourteen current and former FedEx employees claimed on Thursday that FedEx’s sanctions motion against their attorney, Waukeen Q. McCoy of McCoy and Associates, was unwarranted under federal legal precedent, according to its motion, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
