Plaintiffs Object To Test Prep Co. Settlement

Law360, New York (May 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a highly unusual move, three of the seven named plaintiffs in an antitrust class action suit against test preparation companies BAR/BRI and Kaplan Inc. have objected to their own settlement, saying that the $49 million sum is too low.

The dissenting plaintiffs, Loredana Nesci, Ryan Rodriguez and Lisa Gintz, asked for more money from BAR/BRI as well as for the break-up of the agency, which they claim is an illegal monopoly.
