Creative Pipe Ordered To Pay $1M In Spoliation Case

Law360, New York (June 17, 2011, 4:33 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Maryland on Wednesday ordered Creative Pipe Inc. to pay Victor Stanley Inc. just over $1 million in sanctions for destroying electronic evidence in a copyright suit.

Creative Pipe was sanctioned by U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul W. Grimm in September for what the judge called "the single most egregious example of spoliation" he had ever seen.
