Fed. Circ. Stops Launch Of Watson's Generic Seasonique

Law360, New York (June 17, 2011, 9:03 PM EDT) -- A Federal Circuit judge on Friday temporarily blocked Watson Laboratories Inc. from launching a generic version of Duramed Pharmaceuticals Inc.’s birth control pill Seasonique while Duramed appeals a district court’s denial of a similar injunction.

Circuit Judge Pauline Newman approved a temporary injunction, saying that Watson is enjoined from launching its generic — scheduled to go on sale June 20 — until it responds to Duramed’s motion for an injunction in the Federal Circuit.
