Inventor's Claims Against Black & Decker Cut Down

Law360 (May 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An inventor who claimed Black & Decker stole his invention for a grass trimmer guard has lost his appeal to overturn a lower court’s dismissal of his suit.

Inventor Steven Byrne’s three-year battle with the power tool giant ended Monday, with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirming summary judgment in the company’s favor.
