Trading Technologies Obtains Patents In U.K., Europe

Law360, New York (November 10, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Trading Technologies, the Chicago-based software vendor that has set off alarms in the futures trading industry with its patent claims in the U.S., has taken its crusade abroad with a new round of software patent approvals in the U.K. and Europe.

The vendor, which provides screen-based technology for trading on multiple futures and options exchanges, said the U.K. patents office has awarded two patents relating to innovations in its MD Trader product, the market-depth-style order-entry screen incorporated in itsX_Trader trading software.
