Massey Units Lose Bid To Appeal Orders In Selenium Suit

Law360, New York (June 21, 2011, 1:00 PM EDT) -- A West Virginia federal judge refused Monday to allow Massey Energy Co. to immediately appeal orders finding that a $20 million settlement between the energy giant and regulators didn't bar a private environmental suit and that two Massey subsidiaries were liable for selenium discharges.
