House Panel Passes Coal Ash Bill

Law360, New York (June 22, 2011, 2:09 PM EDT) -- A U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee on Tuesday approved a bill that would bar the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from regulating coal ash as a hazardous waste in favor of a state permitting program overseeing such combustion byproducts.
