JFE Wins Contract Claims In Enviro Cleanup Suit

Law360, New York (June 23, 2011, 2:09 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Delaware on Wednesday ruled for JFE Steel Corp. on contract claims against ICI Americas Inc. over a $6.7 million environmental cleanup at a Teflon recycling center in California, saying ICIA took responsibility for pollution when it sold the property.

While rejecting JFE's claims for indemnity under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, U.S. District Judge Leonard P.
