New Trade Measures Could Speed Doha Talks: WTO Chief

Law360, New York (June 24, 2011, 9:13 PM EDT) -- New proposals unveiled at recent Doha talks in Geneva to streamline the import and export process for developing nations could put the long-stalled talks on track to conclude by the end of the year, World Trade Organization Director-General Pascal Lamy said Friday.

Lamy spoke at the World Customs Organization in Brussels, where he lauded the organization for its cooperation with the WTO in helping to facilitate trade negotiations in developing and underdeveloped countries by providing technical assistance.
