India Mulls Pre-Negotiation Of Prices For Patented Drugs

Law360, New York (November 14, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- India’s government is considering various options to prevent price gouging in the pharmaceutical industry when the country introduces product patents next year.

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers is considering a plan for pre-negotiation of prices for patented drugs, ministry sources told local news media.
