Specialty Products Can't Share Privileged Docs: Judge

Law360, Wilmington (July 6, 2011, 8:05 PM EDT) -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge on Wednesday refused to allow Specialty Products Holding Corp. to share attorney-client privileged information with asbestos claimants investigating potential causes of action against the company’s parent, RPM International Inc.

The documents at issue relate to the 2002 reorganization of the chemical manufacturer that created RPM. The debtors had sought to share the information while getting assurance from the court that the privileges would not be waived by the disclosure.
