Mosaid Sues Sony Ericsson, HTC Over E-911 Tech IP

Law360, New York (July 7, 2011, 6:01 PM EDT) -- Mosaid Technologies Inc. sued Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications (USA) Inc. and HTC America Inc. in Delaware on Thursday over patents that allow cellphones to comply with the Federal Communications Commission's E-911 standard.

Mosaid claims that HTC and Sony make and sell phones in the U.S. that infringe three patents, and seek damages for allegedly willful infringement as well as a permanent injunctive relief.
