8th Circ. Revives Wrongful Termination Suit Against ISU

Law360, Los Angeles (July 7, 2011, 11:18 PM EDT) -- The Eighth Circuit on Thursday revived an age discrimination and wrongful termination suit brought by a former Iowa State University clerk and typist, ruling the lower court had jurisdiction to hear state law claims against the school's president and another employee.

The decision only revives Suzanne Clark's individual wrongful termination claims against ISU President Gregory Geoffroy and her former supervisor Marlene Callahan. The Eighth Circuit let stand the lower court's 2010 decision to nix Clark's allegations that ISU also violated federal age discrimination laws as well...
