11th Circ. Backs Arbitration Ruling In GPS Row

Law360, New York (July 12, 2011, 6:42 PM EDT) -- The Eleventh Circuit on Monday upheld a Florida federal court ruling that National Auto Lender Inc. is not contractually obligated to arbitrate claims that Procon Inc.'s predecessor caused it more than $3 million in losses by selling it defective GPS devices.

According to the suit, SysLOCATE Inc. sold more than 2,400 GPS units to National to allow the lender to track down cars that it financed in case of default. National claimed it spend an extraordinary amount trying to find cars after the GPS devices failed...
