Greens Fail To Win More Fees In Mass. CWA Suit

Law360, New York (July 12, 2011, 5:53 PM EDT) -- A Massachusetts federal judge on Tuesday rejected a bid for additional attorneys' fees by environmental groups that  successfully sued state officials over alleged Clean Water Act violations, reducing their fee request from $105,500 to $17,800.

U.S. District Judge William G. Young granted final judgment to the plaintiffs on April 26, ruling that the Massachusetts Department of Transportation had complied with a previous order to take steps to prevent pollution from being washed from the state's highways into the waters around Boston.
