Microsoft Secures Joystick Patent Victory

Law360 (May 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court panel has affirmed a lower court ruling that Microsoft Corp., Nokia Inc. and Saitek Industries Ltd. did not infringe two patents for joysticks and game controllers.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled Tuesday that the patents were not infringed literally or under the doctrine of equivalents. However, it did overturn a part of the decision that found the patents invalid.
