Judge Denies Ex-Brooks Kushman Atty's Sanctions Bid

Law360, New York (July 13, 2011, 7:34 PM EDT) -- A Michigan federal judge on Wednesday refused a former Brooks Kushman PC associate's bid for sanctions in a discovery dispute in her sexual harassment case against the firm and its president.

U.S. District Judge Paul D. Borman rejected plaintiff Anne-Marie Stinnett's objections to a magistrate judge's decision delaying her efforts to depose third-party witnesses until she herself had been deposed. The court further declined to issue sanctions based on how the firm's attorneys had acted at the hearing before the magistrate judge.
