USTR Declines To Probe Israel, DR For Unfair Trade

Law360, New York (July 15, 2011, 12:48 PM EDT) -- The Office of the U.S. Trade Representatives on Friday declined to investigate separate Section 301 petitions alleging unfair trade practices by Israel and the Dominican Republic, finding that the petitioners lacked standing.

The USTR found that the allegations in both petitions, which in the case of Israel sought billions of dollars, were far too old be investigated by the agency.
