Nestle, Applebee's Settle Trademark Row Over "Skillet Sensations"
Law360 (November 17, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Swiss food conglomerate Nestle S.A has agreed to stop marketing its U.S. Stouffer frozen-food line with the phrase "Skillet Sensations" to settle a trademark lawsuit brought by restaurant chain Applebee's.
As part of the agreement, Stouffer will rename the meals "Stouffer's Skillets" and "Lean Cuisine Skillets" in spring 2005, the companies said.
The two companies filed a joint motion last week to dismiss the case after reaching an agreement, details of which remain confidential.
